His supportive style focused on continuous improvement of Core Capabilities (Communication, Leadership, Negotiation, Problem-solving...) paired with his inquisitive nature and a passion for helping professionals develop and grow, led to career breakthroughs for many of his team members
Jorge´s Journey
He started as an HEOR and Policy researcher at the Andalusian School of Public Health in Spain, informing Regional Payers´ decisions
After completing his studies in International Health Policy and Health Economics at the London School of Economics in 2002, he worked for Eli Lilly as HEOR Scientist and Access Lead in the U.K., Europe and Intercontinental & Japan. He led teams generating evidence, supporting HTA submissions and designing Access Strategy in support of Neuroscience, Oncology and Endocrine medicines
In 2011 Jorge moved to the U.S. to lead HEOR Teams for Amgen in the areas of Osteoporosis and Oncology in the U.S. and Globally
He was also Global Access Lead for assets in the Oncology portfolio at pipeline, launch and commercialization stages.
As an Executive Director of HEOR he had oversight for the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Franchise including commercialized, pre-launch and pipeline medicines
He then became Head of the Value, Access & Pricing Organization for the Intercontinental Region, leading teams supporting the entire portfolio of Innovative and Biosimilar products in LATAM, MEA, Canada and Turkey. His responsibilities also included Policy Strategy and Patient Advocacy
